The xNT NFC chip implant works with NFC enabled smartphones, certain commercial access control systems, and USB contactless ISO14443A readers. Designed by Dangerous Things and was originally crowdfunded via an Indiegogo campaign in 2013.

While the xNT transponder device has undergone several quality checks during manufacturing, it has not been tested or certified by any government regulatory agency for implantation or use inside the human body. The kit contains the tag and all the sterile procedure materials required for a professional to perform installation.
